Craft Fair number 2 booked

I have booked to do another Christmas fair!
This one is in aid of SANDS www.uk-sands.org and is being held on Wednesday 18th November at the Spa Hotel Tunbridge Wells 7.30-9.30pm.
This will be my first craft fair in years so to say I am a little nervous is an understatement. I just hope people that come along like my designs, whether they buy them or not.

I am busy making a new line of small bag charms as most of the designs I make are quite chunky. These new ones will be great for evening bags or even to attach to the boring stringy bit of an umbrella cord.

Madison Mae on Etsy

Today I have taken a big step and opened an online shop with Etsy (http://madisonmae.etsy.com)
I am getting to grips (slowly) with how it all works and hope it will become a great success.

10% Discount of all bag charms

How do you fancy 10% off all orders over £15 from Madison Mae. Just enter code MAD421 which is valid until the end of the month. Why not treat yourself or start your Xmas shopping early?!

I have been working hard this weekend on changing the photos of the bag charms on the on-line shop and I am really pleased with the results. Slate is definately a much better look than wood and shows off the bag charms more.

After spending hours taking lots and lots of photos I have realised that I need to start designing some smaller simple bag charms. Many of the ones I have already made are either quite chunky or lengthy so to cater for those that like small (and still gorgeous) bag charms I shall get cracking on some new designs.

Bag charms inspired by the five winning names

At last I have managed to finish making the five new bag charms using the winning names from The Cat's Whisker's (Kate). It has been a great challenge and am looking forward to holding another competition soon - what this space!

Left: Eastern Spirit.
made with Smoky Quartz gemstones, Czech glass beads and a lovely silver-foil glass heart.

Below: Winter's Breath
Made with Shell flowers and Swarovski crystals.

Below right: River Wild
A blend of various glass beads and metal accents.

Below Left: Indie Rose
Lots of lovely shell flowers, a gold-plated gecko charm and glass beads.

And finally, the last bag charm is called Midnight Disco, and this one proved to be the most difficult to design. I originally went for a design using all black beads and charms, but then decided that in the light of the moon the sky can look a lovely dark blue and this lead me to create the bag charm below.
These bag charms as well as some other new designs will all be available to buy from Madison Mae this weekend.

Tomorrows excitment.....

Tomorrow I am going to dedicate the whole day to making bag charms. I have booked the day off work, loaded up my ipod and am eagerly awaiting sunrise tomorrow so I can get cracking. I've yet to tell my son that he still has to go to nursery, even though mummy has the day off!

New Range for the New Year

I have decided to expand Madison Mae from just bag charms and bracelets to bead related accessories for the home. I am thinking pretty curtain tie-backs, table cloth weight charms, napkin rings and all sorts of other lovely stuff. First I need to have enough bag charm stock for Christmas, then I shall begin to experiment with my new projects.

How exiciting!
